If your child is found to experience difficulties in learning he/she will be given support by the classroom teacher and a differentiated curriculum offered to meet the child‘s needs. It may be necessary for special individual help from a Special Needs Teacher. If this is necessary you will be contacted. Sometimes children are supported in the classroom and at other times receive small group teaching with structured activities to support the child‘s individual needs whilst still supporting the curriculum. This continues for as long as necessary. In some cases the Educational Psychologist is called upon to access the child‘s abilities and assist in formulating a programme of work. You will always be kept informed and involved with the process.
We have a Resourced Provision and are able to offer through provision from reception to year 6 for children with statements or additional needs in it. The class has five full time members of staff and the children receive small group teaching to sup-port any additional requirements whilst still supporting the curriculum. The children in the Resourced Provision are an integral part of our school community and are included in all aspects of school life.
