School Buddies

We have a dedicated team of children who spend their playtimes helping other children.  These children may be sad because of something happening outside or inside school, they may feel lonely because their friend is absent or do not want to join in a noisy game.  That's where our Buddies come in!

The Buddies all wear a bright red baseball cap and some wear a bright red tabbard, making them easy to spot on the playground.  They have a base called 'Buddy Stop' where other children in need of tlc can sit and a buddy will talk to them and help them.  The buddies will often take the child to play games, or sometimes just sit and chat.  Any issues the child has, like others being unkind to them, is dealt with by the Buddy informing play times supervisors/staff on duty.  They also work on the Infant playground on a rota basis, making sure the children there are happy.
