Class 10

Welcome to Class 10!

 

This term we are starting our new topic ‘Conflicts’. We will be focussing on major conflicts across the world including WW1 and WW2. We will be looking at the causes and consequences of war, evacuation, rationing, daily life, the black out, the blitz and allies and axis. Through this topic we will be studying history, geography, art and design, design and technology, science, and information and communication technology. In literacy we will be writing a diary, a voice over, a biography and a newspaper report.

 

 

 

Children should be reading everyday at home. The children have access to the following sites to support their reading development:

We will be attending Wrexham Swimming baths every Tuesday.

We took part in a workshop where we learnt about saving, budgeting and expenditure

HOMEWORK:

Each Monday your child will receive a list of spellings.  They will be tested on Fridays. 

A piece of Maths or English or topic work that supports the work in class will also be sent home each week. This homework needs to be returned by Friday at the latest—the earlier the better.

READING BOOKS:

Please can you listen to your child read as often as possible, ideally daily. Your child is allowed to change their book every day. Please ensure your child brings their reading book /record to school every day.
