Home Learning

 

Home learning packs are avaliable to collect by Friday 20th March 2020.

 

This includes a seesaw home learning code. To access seesaw please follow the instructions below:

 

Students and families, we will be using Seesaw for home learning. Please sign in with your Home Learning code following the steps below:

 1. Go to https://web.seesaw.me on a computer. Or install the Seesaw Class iOS or Android app.

2. Tap “I’m a Student”.

3. Scan or type in your Home Learning code.

4. Post to your journal, respond to activities, and view class announcements.

5. Remember, this code is like a password. Keep it safe!

Your child can upload the work that they complete at home for your teacher to see and comment.

Welcome to Class 11!

 

This term we are starting our new topic ‘Conflicts’. We will be focusing on major conflicts across the world including WW1 and WW2. We will be looking at the causes and consequences of war, evacuation, rationing, daily life, the black out, the blitz and allies and axis. Through this topic we will be studying history, geography, art and design, design and technology, science, and information and communication technology. In literacy we will be writing a diary, a voice over, a biography and a newspaper report

 

This term we will be attending Wrexham Swimming baths every Tuesday. Your child will need to bring a swimming costume/swimming shorts, a towel and goggles (optional) in a bag with £1.00 for the bus.

 

Children should be reading everyday at home. The children have access to the following sites to support their reading development:

HOMEWORK:

Each Monday your child will receive a list of spellings. They will be tested on Fridays.

A piece of Maths or English or topic work that supports the work in class will also be sent home each week. This homework needs to be returned by Friday at the latest—the earlier the better.

READING BOOKS:

Please can you listen to your child read as often as possible, ideally daily. Your child is allowed to change their book every day. Please ensure your child brings their reading book /record to school every day.

PE KIT:

Please can you make sure your child has the

following kit fully labelled in a bag:

· White T-shirt

· Black or navy shorts

· Pumps or trainers

· Swimming costume

· Towel
