This term we are starting our new topics; foundation phase ‘Our Country’ and KS2 ‘Invaders and settlers’. The pupils will be at the heart of their learning as they will be sharing their ideas with their class on the things they would like to learn. The pupils’ ideas will then be used to ensure there is full coverage of the curriculum through the six areas of learning including: Health and Wellbeing, Language, Literacy and Communication, Mathematics and Numeracy, Science and Technology, Expressive Arts and Humanities. We will be focusing on ourselves and our area within our topic lessons and in science and technology we will be learning about Materials.
PE Kit
This year children will come into school in their PE kits. Please ensure your child is wearing full kit not own clothes.
· White T—shirt
· Black or navy shorts/ joggers
· black Pumps or trainers
Class 12 PE day is a Friday.
Outdoor learning
Class 12 will be using the outdoor classroom on a Friday afternoon. Please bring clothes suitable for outdoor learning in a bag. The children will get changed into their clothes at school. Please ensure your child brings a coat as the weather gets colder.
Homework / Home reading
All pupils will be provided with a Homework task to complete each week along with a reading book and a reading record.
Homework and reading books will be sent home on a Monday and need to be returned to school by Thursday.
Please encourage your child to read at home everyday and write a comment in their reading record.

In school we use a variety of learning platforms which can be accessed from home.

All pupils know how to access these websites and their log in details have been uploaded via Seesaw. Please encourage your children to use these websites at home.
Seesaw
This year class 12 will be using Seesaw and Seesaw family. This means you can view your child's work and messages will be sent out throughout the year. All Seesaw codes have been sent out, if you need a new code please ask and this can be arranged to be sent home with your child.
Children can upload any work that they have completed at home for myself to see if they wish.
Healthy Snack
Healthy snack and milk is available each day in school. The cost of this is £1 per week and payments should be made via ParentPay.
If you need a new parent pay code please ask a member of staff.
