Further Information

Class 3 have P.E on a Monday and Tuesday. Please ensure your child has the following kit, fully labelled in a bag on their PE day, or left in school:

· White T-shirt

· Black or navy shorts

· Pumps or trainers

Each Monday your child will receive a list of spellings and a piece of Maths / English / topic work that supports the work in class will also be sent home each week. This homework needs to be returned by Thursday that week. Please help your child in practising their spellings as they are tested on them on a Friday.

Reading Books

Reading books are sent home on a Monday with homework and need to be returned on a Thursday. Please can you listen to your child read as often as possible, for about 10 minutes 2 to 3 times a week and write a comment in their reading record. Due to limited books we cannot send home a new book unless the previous one is returned.

Children receive a healthy snack and drink of milk everyday in class.  The cost is £1 a week payable to your child's class teacher.  This half term is 8 weeks if you would like to pay in advance.  Letters are sent home for missing snack every 3 weeks.

The School Day

  • The class doors open at 8.45 am each morning.
  • Children will be completing spelling activities before the register to reinforce their daily phonics work and homework.
  • We aim to be spending more time in the outdoors this year so the gates to the yard will be locked promptly on the close of the register.
  • Please help us by ensuring your child is in school promptly for the register in the mornings.
  • The school day ends at 3 p.m. and children are dismissed from the classroom door.

Diolch yn fawr.
