Croeso i Ddosbarth Tri
Welcome to Class Three
Dosbarth 3 Staff:
Mrs Freeman (Class Teacher)
Mr Kinloch (Teaching Assistant)
Croeso and welcome back to the new term.
Our topic for this term will be 'Animal Habitats and Homes'. We will start off by finding out about animals that live under the sea. We will also be looking at different types of homes and habitats. In Jigsaw work this term, our focus will be on the themes ‘Changing Me’ and ‘Dreams and Goals’.
Outdoor Learning
Our outdoor classroom day is a Friday so please ensure children come to school in weather appropriate clothing. Please provide a change of shoes or wellies for outdoor days.
P.E. Kit
Please can you make sure your child wears their PE kit every Wednesday:
· Plain white T—shirt
· Black or navy shorts/tracksuit bottoms
· Pumps or trainers
Homework / Home reading
All pupils will be provided with a homework task to complete each week along with a reading book and their reading record.
Homework and reading books will be sent home on a Monday and need to be returned to school by Thursday.
Please encourage your child to read at home everyday and write a comment in their reading record. They are also able to access more books online using their 'Bug Club- Active Learn Primary' log in.
Digital Learning
In school we use a variety of learning platforms which can be accessed from home.
· Hwb—https://hwb.gov.wales
· Bug club—activelearnprimary.co.uk
· RM maths—https://www.rmeasimaths.com
· TT Rock stars—https://play.ttrockstars.com/auth/school/student
All pupils know how to access these websites and their digital passports have been sent home in their homework books. Please encourage your children to use these websites at home as well as in school as they allow opportunities to consolidate learning.
Healthy Snack
Healthy snack of fruit and a drink of milk or water is available to buy each day in school. This is £1 per week or £5 for the half term. This now needs to be paid in cash.
We are looking forward to a busy year in Class 3!
Thank you for your support,
Mrs Freeman.
