Summer Term 2020
New home learning packs can be collected from school from Monday 29th June 2020.
I am updating and setting challenges regularly on SeeSaw and would love to see what you have been doing. Please get in touch with school if you require assistance with Seesaw.
Thank you, Mrs Edwards.
I hope everyone had a lovely relaxing Easter.
We will be uploading a weekly home learning sheet onto the website and Seesaw, along with daily challenges on Seesaw. Children can complete the work in their home learning pack or on their Seesaw account. It would be great to see more of you working on Seesaw then we can offer feedback.

Listed below is some important information about class 3 -
If you have any questions, please come and speak to us.
Class 3 have P.E on a Wednesday and Thursday. Please ensure your child has the following kit, fully labelled in a bag on their PE day, or left in school:
· White T-shirt
· Black or navy shorts
· Pumps or trainers
Each Monday your child will receive a list of spellings and a piece of Maths / English / topic work that supports the work in class will also be sent home each week. This homework needs to be returned by Thursday that week. Please help your child by practising their spellings as they are tested on them on a Friday.
Reading books are sent home on a Monday with homework and need to be returned on a Thursday. Please can you listen to your child read as often as possible, for about 10 minutes 2 to 3 times a week and write a comment in their reading record. Due to limited books we cannot send home a new book unless the previous one is returned.
Children receive a healthy snack and drink of milk everyday in class. The cost is £1 a week payable to your child's class teacher. This half term is 8 weeks if you would like to pay in advance. Letters are sent home for missing snack every 3 weeks.
The School Day

Topics this term…
This term we are changing our planning to include children’s opinions and ideas. We will be basing our work on current events and celebrations. We are starting the term with our school vision, motto and rules. During the term we will be welcoming visitors to discuss their careers and we will be visiting a community facility.
The children have settled back into school after the Easter holiday and are really excited to find out about castles.
Year 2 have been so sensible in completing their tests - well done!
Please read the newsletter below for further information. Thank you.
Our topic for this term is birds
We will be identifying birds and taking part in the RSPB Big School Bird Watch. We will find out how to take care of birds as pets, making bird feeders, creating a bird hide and making Bird fact cards. We will also be sharing the texts ‘Owl Babies’, ‘The owl and the pussy cat’ and ‘The owl who was afraid of the dark’ in our classes. Through RE we will be studying the Christian faith.
We will be organising a trip for later in the term, please keep a look out for dates and letters.
